New York Market = Bridal Gown Heaven

Hi Ladies! It was just that time of year again. Time for us to fly off to The Big Apple and shop for some fabulous new wedding gowns for all you 2010-2011 brides-to-be! And we have to say that this year the bridal designers were ON FIRE!!!! Every dress that strutted down the catwalk was more beautiful than the last! It was so hard to pick the ones that would grace our walls come the spring! {Oh the things we do for you ladies...} :)

So, Here is a little sneak peek of what some of the designers had to offer this year at the New York Bridal Market! We saw a lot of unique lace details, sophisticated styles, flower details, and belts blets and more blets {see the Ali dress by Augusta Jones}!!! Deanna Kaye Photography is one of our most highly recommended wedding day photographers, so with that said we asked her to do our photo shoot! (She kindly said YES!) We are absolutely thrilled with the pictures and can't wait until we get to see more...this is just a glimpse of what was taken right outside our front doors on Historic Main Street in Downtown La Grange. A special thanks to Amelia and Marilyn for modeling and doing such a great job along with Amy and Erica from Beauty First who provided our girls with their beautiful hair and make up! ENJOY!

This past week we got to do a little wedding gown shopping of our own! Twice a year we have to pick out the new dresses that will be here in our shop and we went a little crazy this season bring you TWO new lines!!!! This fall you will see amazing gowns by Melissa Sweet Reverie and Priscilla of Boston Jewel at The Couture Closet. These two lines are beautiful, glamorous, feminine gowns that are enough to make you drool!

The Priscilla of Boston Company introduced their new line called Jewel. These gowns are STUNNING!!! We had a really heard time picking out the ones that will be here in the shop but I think we did an excellent job. The collection embodies feminine sophistication with a ton of glamor! Melissa Sweet Reverie is a line that has been around for the past 2 seasons but we just now picked up the line after many of you have called inquiring about it. The dresses are very flirty and romantic, with a touch of couture edge. New York Bridal Fashion Week!

It is that time of year again; time when all the biggest names in Bridal design make the trip to the Big Apple and show off their amazing wedding gowns. These are the gowns that will be worn down aisles all over the world on one of the biggest days of a girls life! Brides.com decided that it would be super exciting to have live streaming video of the Priscilla of Boston Runway shows last night so the whole world could see their breath-taking gowns. Usually we are in New York sitting right in the audience for this show but we didn't go this time, so thanks to Brides.com it felt like we were there oogling the designs just like we do every year! Be sure to pay special attention to Priscilla's debut line Jewel! It is beautiful, and you might just see it this fall at The Couture Closet! ;)
